Lindsey Starr is a third-generation healthcare leader who serves as Administrator of Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center. She has led the facility’s day-to-day operations since 2009, continuing a family tradition of compassionate elder care that began when her grandmother, Lorraine Starr, R.N., founded the family’s first nursing home on the South Shore in 1954.
For Lindsey, caring for seniors isn’t just a profession—it’s a family calling spanning more than 70 years. She is committed to maintaining the warm, personalized approach that has defined Starr family care for three generations, ensuring that every resident is treated like a member of the family.
Under her leadership, Southwood has earned recognition as a U.S. News & World Report “High Performing” facility for long-term care and maintains a CMS 5-Star rating. Lindsey takes pride in the facility’s dedicated, all in-house staff who provide consistent, familiar faces for residents and families every day.
When she’s not at Southwood, Lindsey remains active in the local South Shore community where her family has deep roots.
